Cloud engineer by day, engineer by night. I build and operate distributed AWS systems in a regulated healthcare environment, and spend my own time on AI tooling, apps and side projects.
I'm a Cloud Platform Engineer at Centene, where I build AWS infrastructure for healthcare data operations serving millions of members — Lambda, ECS, S3, SQS, DynamoDB, Step Functions and Glue, provisioned with Terraform through CI/CD, and kept alive through on-call incident response.
Before engineering, I spent seven years as a criminal defense attorney in Ukraine, arguing cases at pre-trial investigation and at trial. Reading a statute closely and reading a stack trace closely turn out to be the same skill. And arguing in front of a judge teaches you to make something complicated land with someone who doesn't share your vocabulary — which is most of what an incident review, an architecture proposal or an on-call handoff actually is. Both jobs live in the same place: the ambiguous, high-stakes middle of a problem where the answer isn't written down yet.
The rest of my time goes to things I build on my own: agent tooling on the Claude and OpenAI APIs, AWS Bedrock and the MCP protocol, a set of iOS apps, and lately some web projects. AI and distributed systems are what I actually find interesting — the day job and the night work point the same direction.

Own AWS infrastructure for enterprise healthcare data operations. Lead on-call incident response and root-cause analysis, automate provisioning with Terraform in GitLab CI/CD, manage IAM and least-privilege access across multi-service environments, and monitor Kafka cluster health. Built an automated S3 stale-source detection tool on Lambda and S3 Inventory that removes outdated data and alerts when Kafka sources go quiet.

Redesigned ETL pipelines on Step Functions and Lambda for a 3× throughput increase. Built CI/CD for Docker images into ECR and ECS, a real-time pipeline monitoring system on Python, Lambda and SNS, and 20+ IAM roles with Terraform security configurations.

Cross-platform mobile and web applications in Flutter/Dart with REST integrations. Raised test coverage 40% by introducing a unit-testing framework and structured code review.

An agent that operates a live brokerage account on a twice-daily schedule, orchestrated with cloud routines, a remote MCP broker connector, and a private Git repo as its persistent state and audit log. The interesting part is the safety architecture: blast-radius account isolation, a policy-as-code constitution, a drawdown circuit breaker, idempotent order IDs, and full reasoning logs committed on every run.
A full-stack AI coding assistant with tool calling, MCP server integrations and REST APIs, running against a hybrid backend of AWS Bedrock and local Ollama. Implements agentic scaffold patterns — multi-step reasoning, tool use, stateful context management.
Built and shipped to the App Store. The listings are offline while my Apple Developer account is inactive.
